Officers sould be responsible towards people:Nitish
Patna, Oct 17 (UNI) Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar today said officers should be more sensitive and responsible towards the people and suggested them to maintain transparency in the administrative activities.
Addressing a function organised for training of the 46th batch of Bihar police service, Mr Kumar said here that for being a successful officer they will have to concentrate on other aspects in addition to their administrative duties.
He said Bihar was still lagging far behind in several aspects like poverty alleviation and eradicating illiteracy. Though the government had made several policies to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and for improving the health services, however, its success depends on the comittment and sensitivity of the officers.
The developmental activities should be taken to the ground level he said adding that his government was committed to developing the state.
