Nawada, Oct 17 (UNI) The CBI sleuths from Kolkata today raided the residence of Provident Fund (PF) Commissioner, Abhishek Kumar, at Roh Bazar in the district, official sources said.
The senior government official was now posted in Kerala but his native place was beign raided on charges of specific financial irregularities.
Jewelleries worth Rs 7 lakh and some cash were recovered in the raid. Some documents regarding house and shops were also seized, District Police Superintendent Vinod Kumar said.
He said the CBI officials also raided other places belonging to the senior official.
The Commissioner was earlier posted at Durgapur, West Bengal.
The raids were being conducted suspecting his invovement in financial irregularities worth crores of rupees, informed the SP.
