New Delhi, Oct 17: Laxmi Narayan Sharma, a BJP Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh, who was admitted to Escorts Hospital after suffering a heart attack, died on Friday, Oct 17 morning. The 75-year-old MP is survived by his wife Lakshmi Devi Sharma, three sons and two daughters.
Sharma suffered a heart attack last week in Faridabad and since then he was in hospital. An active member of the RSS, Sharma started his career as a teacher and was a member of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly for 35 years. Sharma, who was born on September 5, 1933, was Minister of Co-operatives, Revenue and Agriculture in Madhya Pradesh before being elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2004.
