5-yr-old boy dies of starvation in Jalna

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 17 (UNI) A five-year-old boy died due to starvation in Jalna district, about 60 km from here.

According to official sources, the deceased Kishan, and four other orphan boys, who were brought from Swojal Mentally Retarded Boys hostel Solapur to Sankarlal Mundada Boys hostel Jalna five days ago, yesterday developed some health problems.

Following which they were immediately rushed to Jalna Civil Hospital, where Kishan died.

Medical officer of the Hospital, Sujit Pal, said none of the children had any food or water for the last ten days.

Meanwhile, as the condition of remaining four children deteriorated further and they were shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here, sources said.
