Silver eases, gold rises on bullish advice
Mumbai, Oct 16: Value of Silver crashed heavily by Rs 755 per kg today on sluggish demand, while Gold increased by Rs 50 per ten gm from Wednesday, Oct 15 close, on fresh demand by industrial users, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.
In London, a bearish trend was seen in the precious metals, as gold was quoted low at USD 837.00/838.50 per ounce (USD 839.00/840.50), while silver was quoted at USD 10.25/10.30 an ounce (USD 10.45/10.46), market report said. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 18,530 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 13,250 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,310.
