Salem: Medicines to flood-affected areas
Salem, Oct 16: Salem comes to the rescue of flooded Bihar. Rotarians of Rotary District 2980 dispatched medicines and chlorine tablets to the flood-affected families in Bihar after a simple function.
The Rotarians from 15 clubs came together to send life saving drugs and other medicines worth Rs 3.5 lakh to Bihar victims. District Governor C. Sivagnanaselvan said that a Flood Relief Committee also was formed under the leadership of former Governor Srinivasa Gopalan. This committee would assess the situation and would distribute further quantum of relief material accordingly.
