New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) In view of the rising incidents of fratricidal violence among security force personnel, the Government has decided to organise a ten-day-long Yoga Camp starting from tomorrow for the personnel of central para-military forces to help them beat stress.
The camp being organised by Yoga guru Swami Ramadev is part of the efforts made by the Home Ministry for stress management among the personnel.
About 3000 to 4000 personnel from all central para-military Forces will be trained during the camp who will impart further training in Yoga to the personnel of their own battalions so that the jawans posted in remote areas can also benefit from it.
The Yoga would help these personnel who work under highly stressful conditions for long hours in hospital conditions in remote areas away from families.
The high stress sometimes results in the para-military force personnel attacking their own officers or colleagues on petty matter like refusal to grant leave. Yoga techniques would help them time over the stressful situation and improve mental and physical health.
Earlier, over 60,000 personnel of para-military forces have undergone the Art of Living Course conducted by Vyakti Vikas Kendra.
Another 4,297 personnel of Central Industrial Security Force have been trained in yoga by Mata Amritanandamai Mutt.
