Mumbai, Oct 16: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Thursday, Oct 16 displayed hoardings, that read 'Bagu Tari Udta Kashe' (Lets see how you will fly) near the airports here, even as party leaders plans to meet top officials of Jet Airlines to make a case for the sacked employees of the airlines.
The meeting will be held around 11 pm, party officebearer Sandeep Deshpande said. He also said four leaders of the party -- Nitin Sardesai, Manoj Chavan, Gajanand Rane and Swati Parulekar, will be meeting the top management officials of Jet to demand restoration of the employees. MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Wednesday, Oct 15 told the retrenched employees that a delegation of MNS officebearers would shortly meet the top management of the airline and take up their case.
''If they failed to reconsider their decision, we will not allow single flight of Jet Airways to fly from Mumbai and airports in the state,'' he said. Services of 800 employees were terminated by the management on the grounds of costcutting measures here on Tuesday a day after the Airline signed an alliance with Kingfisher Airlines in a bid to reverse the downturn in the aviation sector.
