Dasmunsi's condition remains stable
New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) The condition of Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, who had shown considerable improvement in his condition yesterday, remains stable though there has been no further improvement, hospital sources said.
''Mr Dasmunsi remains stable. However, there has been no further improvement in his health condition since yesterday,'' AIIMS medical superintendent D K Sharma said.
Mr Dasmunsi, who was admitted to the AIIMS early Monday morning following an acute ventricular failure, was being constantly monitored by a team of doctors.
The Minister showed some improvement yesterday and was taken off the ventilator.
Doctors say his vital parameters including blood pressure, heart rate are stable.
Mr Dasmunsi was brought to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness, due to lung congestion caused by heart failure.
The senior Congress leader had earlier suffered a heart attack on July 6 while on his way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways today called on Mr Dasmunsi in hospital and presented a bouquet to him.
