''BJP least affected by growing closeness between Cong and SP''
Varanasi, Oct 16 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today confidently said its vote bank would be least affected by the growing closeness between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
''We are a national party that possesses the strength to bear alliances between some political parties,'' said BJP Mahila Morcha's national vice-president Kusum Rai here.
The BJP was neither affected by such kinds of bonds earlier, nor would be affected in any way now, she said.
The BJP would contest the impending Lok Sabha election alone on its own principles, Ms Rai added.
However, when being asked about the Rae Bareli rail coach factory land war between the women heading the UP government and the Congress party, she said Ms Mayawati should not pose hurdles in settting up of the proposed unit as it was a developmental project.
The BJP leader, however, did not forget to denounce both the central and the state government for indulging in vote bank politics and not thinking about the comman-man.
