Postcards to aid for AIDS awareness in Orissa
Bhubaneswar, Oct 15 (UNI) Orissa state AIDS cell and the state unit of the Indian Posts have jointly hit upon a novel idea to sensitise the people about certain misconceptions about the dreaded disease AIDS.
The state AIDS Cell, in association with the Indian posts, have brought out postcards and envelopes with information about the disease printed on them.
After launching the postcards and envelopes at a function here, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik lauded the efforts for creating public awareness to contain the spread of the disease.
Health Minister Sanata Bisi, Health Secretary Anu Garg and Orissa Chief General Manager (Posts) K V Sundarajan were among others present on the occasion.
