Patna, Oct 15 (UNI) The Centre has decided to enhance the seats in post-graduation level in all six medical colleges of Bihar.
Official sources said here today that the central health and family welfare department had recently sent a circular to the state government in this connection.
The letter written by joint secretary of the union health and family welfare ministry Devashish Pandey said the Centre had taken this decision in the interest of the students as well as the health services.
The sources further said that based on the letter of the union government all principals of the medical colleges had been asked to send proposals for the same in detail.
Under the new scheme the seats in almost all departments of the medical colleges would be increased and new syllabus would be introduced.
For this the medical colleges would be provided with Rs 50 crore each, informed the source.
