Jalandhar, Oct 15 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), an alliance partner in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will contest the assembly elections in Delhi on its own election symbol.
"We will contest Delhi assembly elections on our own party symbol and talks are already on with the BJP for the sharing of seats in election" SAD president and MP, Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today.
The party's secretary general and MP, S S Dhindsa has been assigned the job to hold discussions with the bJP on seat sharing, Mr Badal said at a media conference.
Aked whether party would contest 15 seats as was earlier announced by the SAD, Mr Badal clarified that the party was definitely going to fight the Delhi assembly elections but the number of seats would be finalised later.
Regarding contesting the assembly elections in Rajasthan, the SAD chief said that this would be decided by the Political Affair Committee (PAC) of the party.
