Air India announces Mumbai-Bangalore flight

Mumbai, Oct 15: Air India on Wednesday, Oct 15 announced the launch of a new hub and spoke flight between Bangalore and Mumbai from October 26 to benefit seamless transfer of passengers from the IT capital of the country to international destinations.

The new flight, AI 623, operated with the sophisticated Airbus A321 aircraft will leave Bangalore at 2000 hrs to reach Mumbai International airport (Sahar terminal) at 2130 hrs daily, enabling international passengers from Bangalore to connect to various international destinations. Besides other international destinations, this new facility is more beneficial to passengers bound for New York from Bangalore. Air India has made necessary arrangements for through check-in of passengers baggage and issuing boarding cards upto New York at Bangalore itself, Air India said in a statement here today.

Passengers will complete their Customs and Immigration formalities before boarding the flight at Bangalore. On arrival at Mumbai international terminal, they will be received and facilitated at the transit lounge before boarding the non-stop flight AI 141 leaving Mumbai at 0045 hrs daily to reach JFK airport at 0710 hrs in the morning (local time).

Air India is the only airline to provide non-stop flying experience from Mumbai to New York.
