New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will lend Uttarakhand Rs 1,400 crore for the urban development of the state.
Chief Secretary Indu Kumar Pandey told mediapersons here today that the projects were cleared in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maj Gen(retd) B C Khanduri.
About 90 per cent of the fund is in the form of grant while 10 per cent will be given as loan to the state government, he said.
The urban development programme will be implemented in 31 cities and towns of the states including Dehra Dun, Nainital, Haridwar and includes improving the conditions of roads, severage facilities and other basic amenities.
