SIMI activists produced before court, case adjourned
Hubli, Karnataka, Oct 14 (UNI) The Corps of Detectives (CoD) today produced nine suspected SIMI activists, now in judicial custody, before the District and Sessions Court here in connection with a case concerning their alleged involvement in subversive activities.
Asadulla, Mohammed Aasif, Yahya, Shakil Mali, Samir Siddaqui and others were produced before the Judge under tight security.
The Court had directed the police to produce all 16 arrested terror suspects before the District and Sessions Judge.
The other seven terrorists, now in a jail in Indore, were being questioned by police of different States and could not be produced today.Hence, the Judge adjourned the case to November nine.
Sixteen suspected SIMI activists were arrested since January for their alleged involvement in different cases of terrorism in Karnataka, Goa and other parts of the nation. The case is being heard in the Hubli court.
