Bangalore, Oct 14: On Tuesday, Oct 14 Ixia, a global provider of IP performance test systems announced its strategy for the Indian subcontinent with its launch of 'iSimCity', an executive briefing centre and proof-of-concept lab in the city, aimed at serving the growing telecom R and D presence in the country.
Atul Bhatnagar, President and CEO of Ixia said, ''The new iSimCity is the most advanced IP simulation lab in India, capable of simulating an entire city, reaching out to a broad base offering a host of IP services. It would be able simulate to 120,000 subscribers in a single test by the end of the year, the capacity is expected to reach up to 500,000 subscribers, he added.
The new iSimCity centre being launched in India is among a number of proof-of-cencept labs that Ixia is establishing around the world, he said. "Customers will be able to make use of Ixia's professional services and schedule third party tests in the advanced lab environment,'' Atul said.
Network equipment manufacturers, service providers and enterprise offer request a proof-of-concept demonstration, at scale, before they are willing to commit to purchasing test applications and equipment, he said.
