Patna, Oct 14 (UNI) Tussle between the alliance partners of the ruling JD(U) and BJP in the state came to fore with the ministers and MLAs from both the folds flexing muscles against each other.
JD(U) MLA Rampravesh Rai, a staunch supporter of the party MP Prabhunath Singh, has dared Urban Developoment minister Bhola Singh of the BJP to visit Chhapra who appeared adamant to continue his official tour.
Mr Rai threatened to obstruct the ministers visit as he blames Mr Singh for stalling dvelopmental activities in Chhapra and said he will do so in protest against the ministers alleged attitude.
Describing it as a tussle between two individuals the JD(U) was maintaining a stony silence over the row and claimed the coalition would remain unaffected.
The simmering situation within the BJP also came to boil as the party witnessed frustrated outburst of its leaders and ministers during a recent meeting.
The leaders inclduing ministers from BJP openly admitted they were being humiliated and looked down by the state government led by Nitish Kumar.
The vociferous attacks of the ministers may put the coalition in trouble before the Lok Sabha elections, feels the political pundits.
Art and Culture minister Renu Devi and PHED minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey expressed their anguish in the core committee meeting of the BJP held here recently. Visibly annoyed, Mr Choubey even offered his resignation from the ministerial berth.
