Brave college girl overpowers chain-snatchers
Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) In an act of bravery, a college girl caught two chain-snatchers when they tried to snatch her gold chain and handed over them to police at suburban Tambaram last evening.
Police said, the girl, Pushpa (21), an economics student in Madras Christian College was returning home from college when the duo in a motorcycle tried to snatch her chain.
After boldly resisting it, the girl tied their hands with her dupatta. As the duo fell down from the two-wheeler, she cried for help and the locals and passerby, caught the two and handed them to the Selaiyur police station.
The duo, Parthasarathy (21) of Kovilambakkam and Venkatesan (27) of Chinna Kovilambakkam, admitted that they were involved in several chain snatching incidents in the area.
