New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) He dreamt of it and has worked hard to fulfill it - Brandon Fernandes will be representing India in the finals of the World Skills Final scheduled for November 1 at Manchester United Football Club and The Cliff Training Ground.
Brandon was one of the 12 children who participated in the Bharti/AIFF/MUSS Kick Off project organised by IMG in Goa and had won a week placement at an MUSS summer residential course.
It was during his summer placement at MUSS, that Brandon won a further competition within his coaching group of 16 players from the UK and overseas to make it to the finals.
The Goan footballer will showcase his footballing skills along side 38 players.
Brandon's coach Andy Battison said the youngster has immense talent and has hunger to learn things. Even his teammates look up to him as his passing skills are surprising.
''A bubbly and bright character to have around, he is always willing to listen and tries to implement what is asked of him. His range of passing is excellent, but he must try to use both feet.
His has a powerful right footer. I enjoying coaching him,'' Battison said.
