BPCC demands dismissal of UP government
Patna, Oct 14 (UNI) Dubbing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati as a major threat to the democractic set up of the country, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today urged the President to dismiss the UP government.
BPCC president Anil Sharma dubbed the withdrawal of land by the UP government allocated for construction of rail coach factory at Raibarali as ''undemocratic'' and anti-development.
''It is unfortunate that the UP government instead of cooperating in the development was hindering the construction of the factory which on completion would have opened new vistas for the unemployed youth of the state,'' he said.
He alleged that misusing her post and power, Ms Mayawati promulgated section 144 with the sole motive to obstruct the rally of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Annoyed with the income tax cases, Ms Mayawati was taking such steps in desperation, he alleged.
Meanwhile, in order to strengthen the party in Bihar and to get the feed back from public, Mr Sharma has decided to send observers in all districts of the state.
