Jammu, Oct 14 (UNI) Advocating proper infrastructure, a delegation from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) today said without adequate infrastructure, hassle free trade across Line of Control is not possible.

''There is an urgent need of political will between the two countries for smooth cross-border trade and I feel that the infrastructure level should be raised for successful trade on both sides of the border,'' Zulfikar Abbasi, president PoK Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) and the leader of the delegation said during a programme 'Meet the Press' organised by the Press Club of Jammu here.

''The initiative is definitely going to bear fruits and it may lead to strengthen bonds between both the countries besides helping in developing the peace process under Confidence Building Measures (CBMs),'' Mr Abbasi added.

''Sincere efforts are being made to improve the trade ties between India and Pakistan and we hope that political influence may remain at bay,'' he added.

However, Mr Abbasi also advocated about making the LoC as the line of commerce and said the will and resolution lies with the people of the both regions.

''Banking on both sides of the border should also be made easy for efficient trade,'' added Mr Abbasi.
