Patiala, Oct 13 (UNI) Punjab batsmen made merry against the fragile Jammu and Kashmir bowling attack as they scored 647 for the loss of seven wickets in 123 overs on the second day of the Inter-State Under-22 cricket tournament for C K Nayadu Trophy here today at Dhruv Pandove Stadium.
Sunny Sohal and T Kohli scored fluent centuries. While Sohal scored 137, which was studded with 23 fours, Kohli scored 125, which contained 13 fours and 2 towering sixes.
Ishant Sharma (67), M Siddhana (78), Hitesh Anand (65), Charanjit Singh (86) and Bharat Lumba (40 not out) were the other batsmen who were thorns in the flesh of J and K bowlers.
For J and K, Asif Rasool bagged 3 wickets, conceding 93 runs and Sahil Bilawal took equal number of wickets, giving away 32 runs.
Yesterday, J &K were skittled out for a paltry 108.
Manish Dogra (28), Asif Rasool (17) and Abid Ahmad (16) were the main run getters.
J and K is facing innings defeat as two days are left for play and Punjab are yet to declare their innings.
Only rain can save J and K from the impending defeat.
