Jeev rises to 55th spot in world golf rankings

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Indian ace Jeev Milkha Singh has risen to the 55th spot on the latest world golf rankings after his fourth place finish in the Indian Open.

Jeev, who had posted a total of 12 under 276 in the the Indian Open which concluded yesterday, recorded his best ever showing in the event.

The 49,300 dollar he won also helped Jeev consolidate his second place on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, adding to his season's collection which now stands at 589,994 dollar.

Meanwhile, Chandigarh pro Jyoti Randhawa slipped 11 spots to the 126th position. Randhawa, a three-time winner of the Indian Open, finished tied 57th yesterday.

Compatriots Arjun Atwal is at 230th while SSP Chowrasia is placed 286th.
