Haryana to spend Rs 98 crore on Gurgaon roads
Chandigarh , Oct 13 (UNI) The Haryana government will spend Rs 98.81 crore on repairs and reconstruction of roads in Gurgaon.
Of this amount, Rs 78.84 crore will be spent by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Rs 19 crore by the Municipal corporation.
Reviewing the various development works in Gurgaon, the Haryana Chief Secretary directed the officers to fix a timeframe for each and every work and bring transparency in the implementation of works.
He said the schedule of works should be put on website for knowledge of general masses so that they could come out with certain suggestions which the officer might have oversighted.
Mr Dharamvir also asked all the secretaries of the executing departments to put all tenders of works costing above Rs 2.5 crore on the website with a standardized application form so that the applicant can apply by downloading it from the website.
He ordered that the construction agencies would have to maintain the roads upto five years after construction.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the status of repair work on all major roads which were damaged due to rains.
The officers concerned apprised the Chief Secretary that tenders for allotting repairs and reconstruction of roads had been invited and in some parts work was in progress.
