New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate for the Delhi Assembly elections Vijay Kumar Malhotra today laid foundation stone of first Naturopathy Hospital in Delhi, to be constructed by Municipal Corporation of Delhi at Rohini.
By constructing this hospital, in an area of 6073 sq. mtrs. at a cost of Rs. 1.85 crore, the MCD would be able to provide naturopathy treatment to weaker sections of society. In Rohini there is already a Panchkarma Hospital, which is providing treatment through indigenous system of medicines.
Speaking at the function, where Mayor Arti Mehra, Leader of the MCD House Subhash Arya and Standing committee chairman Vijender Gupta, were also present, Mr Malhotra said treatment from naturopathy has become popular all over the world. Since it involves heavy cost of treatment, it is out of reach of poor and middle class sections of society.
Praising the work carried out during the last 1-1/2 years Mr Malhotra said MCD has made all out efforts to benefit each and every citizens of Delhi. He assured that if BJP was elected to power in the coming Delhi Assembly Election then Delhi will be made more healthier, greener and cleaner Delhi and will organize the 2010 Common Wealth Games successfully.
Mr Subhash Arya, said there will be 50 beds for indoor patients to be admitted in the hospital for treatment. Of these, 15 beds will be for Kaya Chikitsa, 15 will be for Prakritic Chikitsa, 10 beds for Panchkarma and 10 beds will be for Yoga and Meditation. The hospital building will be three storied having OPD Block, Wards, Administrative Block, Basement and Quarters for hospital employees.
