New Delhi, Oct 13: There sure is going to be fire-works at the National Integration Council (NIC) Meet on Monday, Oct 13. With accusations and counter-accusations heating up the atmosphere, what issues will be raised or solved is left to our imagination. While NDA wants UPA to address the terrorism attacks, the UPA wants a detailed dioscussion on communalism that's burning the country.
Modi along with BJP counterparts is going to press for terrorism on agenda. "Terrorism today if the biggest threat to national integration. Why are you cagey about discussing it," BJP Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
But what the UPA wants to discuss is the communal clashes which has minorities running for security. Wasn't this the whole point of the meeting??? "The issue of communalism and those behind spreading it in the country like the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad will be discussed. The Opposition is raising the issue to terrorism to divert attention from communalism," Ram Vilas Paswan.
Attacks on Christians in Orissa, clashes between Bodos and migrant Muslims in Assam and a family set afire in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, Oct 12 is enough to assure that dire steps must be taken to combat the violence.
So, the 144 people are meeting after 3 years to discuss communalism, extremism and may be terrorism... Let's wait and see if there is an outcome...
