AIIMS employee ends life after jumping in Yamuna
New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) A 35-year old woman, working as a clerk at the prestigious AIIMS here, died after allegedly jumping into the Yamuna river from DND flyover in South Delhi.
Indu Prabha, who worked as a clerk at AIIMS, allegedly jumped from the DND flyover late last night, said the police adding that she jumped into the river after getting down from her car.
''Before anyone could react she jumped into the river.'' Before coming to a stop her car hit twice the road divider on the flyover just before she took the fatal plunge.
Her body is yet to be recovered.
Indu's family said she went in a huff from her Sadiq Nagar residence saying she didn't want to live. They refused to divulge any further details.
Later, a minor scuffle broke out between family members and reporters after they went seeking information on the cause of death.
A late night interference by senior police officials led to the registration of a case.
