Advani blames UPA govt for security crisis
Kasargod, Oct 13 (UNI) Blaming the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for its ''failure'' to ensure security of the nation, Opposition leader L K Advani today said incursion of terrorist elements from across the border had increased manifold since they assumed power more than four-and-a-half years ago.
Talking at a function after flagging off an ''Agitation Campaign'' led by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Kerala unit president K Surendran here, he said this was evident from the spate of terror attacks in many parts of the country.
Describing Manmohan Singh government an ''all-round'' failure, he said their sole achievement was signing of civilian nuclear agreement with the US recently.
But they cannot ask for vote on the basis of the agreement as it would take at least 15 years to generate energy from nuclear reactors.
Lashing out at Communists, he said the Left parties had also failed to ensure security of the nation when they are extending support to the UPA government at the Centre.
