Kolhapur, Oct 12 (UNI) Shiv Sena Executive president Uddhav Thackeray today said the Party was ready to forge an alliance with the Shetkari Sanghatana in the next assemly elections to unitedly take up the farmers' demands.
Mr Thackeray, addressing a farmers rally organised by Shetkari Sanghatana led by Raghunathdada Patil here, advocated the farmers' demand of better prices for sugarcane and complete waiver of loans.
''Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is asking the farmers to quit planting sugarcane and plant other crops or take up other jobs, but by losing projects like Nano to other states they are not even able to generate employment,'' Mr Thackeray said.
