Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today claimed that a separate Telangana would be achieved only by the BJP and not by any other party, including Congress.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the BJP would introduce a Bill in Parliament within 100 days for the formation of a separate Telangana state if it comes to power at the Centre.
He said the Congress should come out with a clear stand on separate statehood as the Telugu Desam Party had already announced its decision on it.
Referring to the present political scenario in Andhra Pradesh, Mr Naidu said no party would be able to get a majority to form the government in the next elections in view of new political party Praja Rajyam launched by filmstar Chiranjeevi.
Asked whether the BJP would forge an alliance with the TDP in the state, he said at present there was no proposal from both sides.
The party would fight the election on its own and if any party comes forward, the BJP would consider it, he added.
