Mysore, Oct 12 (UNI) Around 90,000 people visited the prominent places in the heritage city here and a collection of Rs 23,41,000 as entry fee compared to last year's Rs 18,89,000 was received during the ten-day world famous Dusshera festivities, which concluded three days ago.

The Mysore Palace and Mysore Zoo were the most visited tourist destinations.

During the festival, the State Government had removed the entry tax imposed for other state tourist vehicles, particularly from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Even after the serial blasts across the country in the last couple of months, as many as 1,15,000 tourists have visited the city between September 30 and October 8, Mysore Palace Board Deputy Director Avaradhi told UNI today.
