AP Govt orders inquiry into communal clashes in Towns
Adilabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy said a thorough inquiry would be conducted into communal clashes in the Bhainsa and Vottoli towns where six people, including three children, were today charred to death at their residence, allegedly in connection with recent clashes in this district of Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Jana, who arrived here to assess the situation, visited Bhainsa and Vottoli towns, where the incidents occurred in the wee hours, when the assailants allegedly set on fire the house and assured to initiate stringent measures against the culprits.
He said the Rapid Action Force(RAF) from New Delhi would be positioned in sensitive areas to maintain law and order along with the local police.
After visiting the victims families, the minister said the Government would announce suitable packages to the victims in the communal clashes.
The District Collector Ahmad Nadeem said the District Revenue Officer would inquire into the Vottoli incident and would submit a report to the Government within a month.
However, tension prevailed at Bhainsa, in view of the incident at Vottoli. The situation at Nirmal and Asifabad were under control, police said.
It may be recalled that three people were killed in communal clashes during religious immersion on October ten at Bhainsa.
