New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation has planned a daylong seminar tomorrow on ''Integration through Language'' to allow the people of Delhi an exposure to the rich heritage of the Konkani language, literature and culture.
The event titled ''Vishwa Konkani Abhiyan'' will be inaugurated by former union minister and Congress leader Margaret Alva.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily will release the Hindi translation on Mahakavi Govinda Pai, the well known Kannada writer and scholar of Kasaragod. Former ICSSR Chairman Dr V R Panchamukhi will preside over the function.
I Ramamohan Rao, Chief Editor of ANI and former Principle Information Officer to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the Chief Guest at the valedictory session.
The programme, organised in association with Delhi Karnataka Sangha, Punjabi Academy, Urdu Tehzeeb, Hindi Academy, Goa Konkani Academy and Saraswat Sanskriti Mandir, is part of the Foundation to have similar events in Kochi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
The events will also enable Konkani writers and artists to the rest of the country.
