Margao, Oct 11 (UNI) Defending Champions Dempo Sports club hope to bounce back and snatch full points against newly promoted Vasco Sports Club, when both lock horns in the third round ONGC I-League football championship match to be played here at Nehru stdium, Fatorda, tomorrow.
Dempo coach Arman Colaco said, ''My boys will forget the defeat at the hands of JCT in the opening match and are raring to go.
We had not fielded the full team in the first match as the team was preparing for first leg match of AFC Cup semifinals against lebanon's SAFA at Beirut on October 7, which was important for Dempo.'' Now his team is fully fit with no injuries and their first aim is to garner full points against Vasco, tomorrow.
Dempo have a well balance squad and looks formidable, both on paper and experience. Dempo's striking power will be spearheaded by Ranty Martin and Roberto Mendes Silva or Mboyo Iyomi, combined as potent striking force. An efficient midfield, consisting of hardworking medio Clifford Miranda, Jerry zer Singh, Climax Lawrence or Anthony Pereira will give stabilty in the middle. Dempo's defence too looks strong with Mahesh Gawali, John Dias, Valerain Rebello and Sameer Naik.
Vasco Sports Club Coach Elves Goes said his team, presently with one point from two outings, is a well balance squad with cent per cent fit players, without any injury. He is confident that his team will perform well and achieve desirable result tomorrow.
He said Dempo is a good side and presently preparing for Second leg home match AFC Cup Semi finals at Hyderabad. ''Playing against a strong team is a challenge for us,'' the coach added.
As ususal, Vasco would depend heavily on Uzbekistan recruits -- striker Ravshan Teshabnev, Agnelo D'Souza and Angnelo Colaco -- in tomorrow's match. Other foreign recruits are defender Yorkin Nazrov and midfielder Sherzod Nazarov.
