Speed,Safety test held
Mysore, Oct 11(UNI) Speed trials on the newly-laid broad guage railway track between Nanjangud-Chamarajanagara were conducted.
The section was expected to be thrown open for the public in another fortnight.
Commissioner of Railway Safety K J S Naidu held speed and safety tests.
Officials said it would be only a matter of time before clearance was issued by the authorities to introduce passenger service up to Chamarajanagara.
The first phase of the work entailing gauge conversion between Mysore and Nanjangud was completed in March this year and passenger service introduced in June.
