Rashtriya Ekta Parishad being devalued: BJP
Bhopal, Oct 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar today said appointing SP leader Amar Singh in the Rashtriya Ekta Parishad is unfortunate.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Tomar said Mr Singh was describing terrorists as innocent at a time when terrorism is on the rise in the country.
His appointment into the Parishad defeated its objective.
Mr Tomar alleged that the role of Mr Singh has been in spreading hatred instead of harmony and unity.
He said Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil praised the role of police officer M C Sharma, who was killed during an encounter with terrorists in Jamia Nagar in New Delhi.
On the other hand, UPA constituent SP has called the encounter fake and made mockery of security set up in the country.
BJP MP Maya Singh has also described Mr Singh's appointment in the Parishad as inappropriate.
