Pondy: Police cracks French murder case

Puducherry, Oct 11: Police resolved the murder case of a French citizen Alain on Friday, Oct 10. The 76-year-old woman was found dead with stab wounds on her neck at her house here yesterday. Police interrogated her two maids Kavitha and Chitra. On interrogation, Kavitha admitted committing the crime with the help of her sister, Lalitha living at Chidambaram.

She confessed that Alain was hit on her face with a griding stone and later stabbed on her neck. The two women later robbed the house, including the ornaments the deceased was wearing. Police arrested both and recovered 63 souvenir of gold stolen from the house, Senior Superintendent of Police B Srikanth told the media.

Mr Srikanth urged the people not to let their old parents live alone and in case they need to go out of station and cannot take them along, let the police be infomed.
