Orissa govt to confiscate assets of ten officials

Bhubaneswar,Oct 11 (UNI)The Orissa government has decided to request the Special Court to confiscate the property of ten engineers and officials found to be in possession of assets disproportionate to their known source of income.

Some of the officials figured in the list are CADA(Bhubaneswar) Executive Engineer Gangadhar Sahu, former Spinfed General Manager Kishore Chandra Sahu, retired Settlement Officer Major settlement(Cuttack) Balaram Rout, former senior staff officer Homeguards(Cuttack) Baidyanath Jena, RWSS(Cuttack circle) former Superintendent Engineer Bipin Bihari Panda and former Executive Engineer RWSS(Cuttack Division-II) Sibaram Biswal.

The rest are former R &B division Executive Engineer (Charbatia, Chowdwar and Cuttack) Guruchanran Parida, former Superintendeing Engineer (Jeypore Road) Anantaran Behera, Executive Engineer Chikiti Irrigation Division(Berhampur) Premananda Panda and former Superintendent of Excise Sundergarh Jalandhar Pradhan.

The assets and property of the ten officials were valued at Rs 1,74,31,316, official sources here said.
