Hoax call creates panic in Haryana town
Gohana, Sonepat, Oct 11 (UNI) A threat to blow up a passenger train at Gohana railway station and trigger another bomb explosion at the local bus stand today evening created panic in the town and kept the police and administration on their toes for about five hours.
However the threat call proved to be hoax. The police have registered a case against an unidentified person who had made call from mobile phone No 09454825721.
According to police sources, an anonymous caller claiming to be the commander of Jaish- e- Mohammad called up the local fire station at around 1420 hours claiming that bombs had been planted at the railway station and the bus stand.
The fire station officials immediately informed GRP Ambala , DSP, Gohana Ramni and the CID wing of the police stationed here.
SSP Navdeep Singh Virk reached here and the police swung into action and carried out extensive searches at the railway station and bus stand. As a precautionary measure the bus stand was closed for entry of buses and other vehicles .
The passenger train 5 JRP, was also thoroughly checked at Rohtak railway before its departure for Gohana. The train was again thoroughly checked at Gohana railway station before its departure for Panipat.
