FIR lodged against 'Bigg Boss' producer, director
Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Mumbai Region Youth Congress President Sunil Ahire today lodged first information report (FIR) against the producer and director of reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' for allegedly telecasting obscenity and vulgarity.
Police said besides the show's producer and director, the FIR also mentioned about the owner of Colors, the channel that telecasts the show, and three participants including Rahul Mahajan, son of former BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, Sambhavana Seth and Payal Rohatgi.
The case has been registered under sections 292, 294 and 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), the sources added.
Mr Ahire said about eight days ago, Youth Congress activists had taken out a morcha to the Andheri police station demanding action against director-producer, participants and the channel for allegedly showing vulgarity in the show.
Finally, the police have registered complaint against them, he added.
