DiCaprio helps rebuild tornados-hit American city
Washington, Oct 11 : Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has lent his hand to a noble cause - he's helping rebuild an American city damaged by tornados.
The occupants in Greensburd, Kansas were given nothing but 20 minutes to evacuate their homes after a stark tornado forecast was announced.
The violent wind ripped the town apart, destroying 95 per cent of Greenburg's infrastructure and killing 10 people.
DiCaprio, a committed environmentalist, has lent support to the Greenburg Project, which is aiming to renovate and rebuild the devastated town completely.
"I have the Greensburg project, which is rebuilding an entire city in Kansas. I'm continuing to work with outreach programs," Contactmusic quoted Leonardo, as saying.
"The most profound lesson I've learned in all of this work is that people don't want to be told what to do or how to think," he added.
