Srinagar, Oct 11: All the office, shifting to winter capital Jammu with annual darbar move will close on Friday, Oct 31, a government order issued on Saturday, Oct 10 said.
The office will reopen at winter capital, Jammu, on November 10, 2008.
According to the order issued by General Administration Department, the Government offices observing five day week shall close at Srinagar on Friday October 31, 2008 after the office hours while offices observing six days week shall close on Saturday November 1, 2008 after the office hours for annual darbar move.
All the offices shall, however, re-open at Jammu on Monday, November 10, 2008.
All the departments will send their advance parties on October 25, 2008 consisting of one Gazetted Officer and four or five non-gazetted officials. The advance parties shall start functioning in Jammu on Monday, November 3, 2008, the order said.
No leave shall be admissible in combination or continuation of move days except in very exceptional circumstances, it warned.
However, Jammu based employees in move offices shall be allowed special leave in combination of move days to celebrate Diwali festival, the order added.
The cases for grant of such leave should reach the General Administration Department by or before October 22, 2008 duly recommended by respective departments.
No leave application shall be entertained after this date.
The SRTC will make available sufficient number of buses in good condition for transportation of employees on November 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2008 and tickets shall be issued in advance from October 22, 2008 both from Civil Secretariat and main booking counters of SRTC.
It will also make available trucks for shifting of records from Srinagar to Jammu as per the requisition made by the Departments.
