Bodies of all 13 drowned during Durga Puja immersion recovered
New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The bodies of all the 13 people, who had drowned in the river Yamuna on October 9 during the immersion of Durga Puja idols, were recovered, police and fire officials said today.
Policemen and fire service personnel engaged in rescue operations since Thursday night recovered bodies of eight men from the Yamuna barrage near Sonia Vihar water treatment plant today, police said.
Bodies of five people had already been recovered yesterday.
The 13 people drowned in the river during the immersion of the idols on October 9, as part of the Durga Puja celebrations.
