Sonepat, Oct 11 (UNI) Six people were killed and three others injured when a canter, a bus and a truck rammed into each other near Bahalgarh chowk on GT road early today.
The accident occurred when the speeding canter, carrying vegetable vendors, was returning to Karnal from Delhi's Azadpur market, hit a truck which had swerved into the opposite lane after being hit in the rear by a Punjab Roadways bus.
The truck was taking a turn at a cut on the GT road, when it was hit by the bus.
While canter driver Raj Pal and two passengers Sushil and Vinod died on the spot, seriously wounded Banwari, Banarsi and Mana Ram were rushed to the Trauma Centre Karnal but died on the way.
All of them belonged to Karnal district.
Meanwhile, two seriously injured, including the driver of the Punjab Roadways bus, Kabool Singh, have been referred to PGIMS Rohtak.
Rai police has impounded the vehicles and registered a case.
