New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The 30th All India Governor's Gold Cup football tournament will be held from October 14-25 in Sikkim.
Sikkim Football Association (SFA) said in a staatement that fifteen teams including one each from Nepal and Bhutan are lined up to participate in this prestigious tournament that dates back to 1978.
The tournament will also see the debut of the top two football clubs- New Delhi Heroes and Shimla Youngs which has been branded as dark horses.
The tournament is organised by the SFA, the apex body of all the football organisations of the state with the support from the state government and other organisations.
All the matches are slated to be held at the Palzor Stadium in a knock out format.
Teams: Nepal XI, Bangladesh XI, Army XI, Titanium (Kerela), BSF (Jalandar), Punjab Police, New Delhi Heroes, Simla Youngs (Delhi), Tata Football Academy, Mohun Bagan SAIL, Railway FC (Kolkata), BNR (Kolkata), DGHC XI, United Sikkim Club and Sikkim Police.
