Chennai, Oct 10 (UNI) Hosts Tamil Nadu defeated Kerala by 179 runs and gained five points on the final day of the four-day South Zone Under-22 Cricket Tournament for the P Ramachandra Rao Trophy here today.
Chasing an imposing 359 to win, Kerala, resuming their second essay at 106 for four, were all out for 179 in 70 overs.
Praveen Achuthan top scored with 65 (150 balls, 8x4, 1x6).
For Tamil Nadu, off spinners Prabhu and Ashwin claimed five and four wickets, respectively.
