JGIFS ties up with Seneca for postgraduate diploma

Ahmedabad, Oct 10 (UNI) In the first major move to bring globally recognised study programmes to India, JG Institute of Foreign Studies (JGIFS) today announced a tie-up with Seneca, Canada-based government-aided college, to impart postgraduate diploma in career oriented programmes to students in the city.

Seneca College President Frederick C Miner told reporters, ''We are very excited about our association with JGIFS, Ahmedabad. This agreement is an example of our commitment to expanding opportunities for students across countries and providing new pathways to success.

The program is designed to provide a unique college and university experience.'' Seneca college provides internationally and nationally recognised polytechnic education and training, the key to a successful career in global economy. Every Diploma, Certificate and Degree programme of the college is developed to a high academic standard, in consultation with industry, integrated with information technology, combined with technical and transferable skills, and reinforced by opportunities for ongoing education and re-training, Director (Marketing and Communication services) of the college, Ms Martha Lowrie said.

Asia Charitable Trust chairman John Geevargese said, ''We are pleased to have joint programmes with Seneca college leading to Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Management, Fashion Business, Tourism and Flight Services among others.
