IT facing competitions from eng companies in hiring talents: Infosys
Bangalore, Oct 10(UNI) IT companies were facing stiff competitions from engineering companies in hiring the young talents and it also resulted in reduction in high attrition rate, Infosys Technologies Director and HR Head Mohandas Pai said today.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Pai said the attrition rate in Infosys has witnessed a reduction in recent months following surge in demand from engineering companies in hiring the young talents from the campuses.
Informing that the attrition rate in Infosys was stood at 12 per cent, which was low compared to the earlier figure, he said about 45 per cent of employees left Infosys to join other companies and 20 per cent for higher studies.
Infosys has made a commitment to hire as many as 25000 new employees during the current year, he said adding the company was bound to it.
''We neither prefer to slash the number nor to increase it'' he added.
