Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) Sounding an ominious warning to Sourav Ganguly, former chief selector Dilip Vengasarkar today said he will give a suitable reply to the Bengal southpaw's outburst against him after the ongoing series against Australia.
Ganguly had lashed out at the previous selection committee led by Vengasarkar for the way he had been treated and said he had decided to retire to save himself the humiliation of being treated as the 'sacrificial goat' all the time.
''I won't answer him now as this is not the right time because India are in the middle of a Test series against Australia and it might affect the focus of the team,'' Vengsarkar told mediapersons here. ''But I will definitely answer him after the series is over.
He will get more than what he has asked for.'' The former right-hand batsman said the BCCI would launch an inquiry into the matter to find out what Ganguly had told Bengali daily 'Aaj Kal'.
''I had said yesterday that if he had said anything on the selection process, the BCCI will look into it,'' Vengsarkar said.
